Toreador Evening Bolero
This bolero was inspired by a trip to Spain and the glorious toreador
costumes.
Made from plum silk dupionni, it is encrusted with "found objects": a length
of 19th century jet beading; a piece of passementerie from a flea market in
Nimes, France; a strip of hand-made lace with jet beads from an antique shop in
Florence, Italy, and 12" long tassels from an estate of a dressmaker.
The front edges are weighted to stay in place and the garment is fully lined
in purple silk charmeuse.
WA-7 Toreador Bolero.
