This website is both a gallery of past works and a showcase for new creations.  My official wearable art business closed in 2014, but my creative juices are still alive and well. 
 
I am a world traveler, passionate about cultures, history, textiles, music and all that intersects into a rich whole.  My designs reflect my love of world cultures, blending this with that to come up with something unrecognizable from any one country: 
  • Handmade silk jacquards from India made into a Vietnamese Cheongsam   
  • An Indian sari transformed into a Japanese jinbaori vest. 
  • Chinese styled jackets made from vintage Indonesian cotton ikat blankets or sarongs. 
  • And the list goes on. 
 
I called my style “subtle flash”.  My clients in Washington DC were professional women – lawyers, lobbyists, academics, diplomats.  They got noticed wearing my designs.  People were drawn to them not because the garment said “Look at me”, but for the fine detailing and beautiful fabrics that said “pay attention”.
