How to OrderTo order any of the items in this on-line catalog, arrange and schedule a trunk show, personal consultation with the designer, or just for more information, please call 920-364-0556 or e-mail at hillesodesigns@new.rr.com. Hillesø & Company Designs are available by personal mail order, catalog, trunk and other shows, visits to the studio and at selected galleries around the country. Hillesø & Company accepts Visa, Mastercard or check. H & Co also accepts American Express via PayPal. If there is a requested service that does not pop up, please contact me for assistance. Available StockAny item ordered that is currently available in the studio inventory will be packed and shipped usually within 1 business day of the order. Special and custom orders take an average of 4-8 weeks to delivery. Special OrderSpecial order means choosing an existing design (often a different size or color, and coordinating pieces for an ensemble) and making it to the client’s measurements. There can also be variation in color or fabric for a special order. Depending on the adjustments necessary, there may or may not be a muslin pattern made up in the design. A number of other designs are available, not currently shown on this website. Please inquire for a personal selection. Custom OrderCustom means really, anything goes. This can be selecting an existing design and modifying it to suit the client’s desires. Or it can be starting from a cherished necklace or other jewelry to show it off. It can be an idea, detail, or fabric that spins off the design of the garment or ensemble. Many clients travel and pick up pieces of fabric or an embellishment that starts an idea rollling. Custom Mail Order is fairly easy to do. The process consists of the following steps. 1. Design decision. What would you like this garment to be in feel and look. This can involve sketches, photographs or ready made garments that you would like to replicate. Decisions at this point also involve selection of fabrics. Swatches are sent to the client along with sketches and trim ideas. 2. Measurements. If done outside of the studio, it is recommended that someone help gather the necessary measurements to draft patterns. A measurement chart will be sent or e-mailed. 3. The Muslin. A paper pattern is then made up for the garment design and made into muslin for an initial fitting. The muslin garment is sent to the client. Again, it is recommended that someone help with the fittings. The client pins and makes any notes necessary to communicate the adjustments or changes needed in the design. The client sends the muslin back. It is the client's responsibility to make sure all alterations, color and fabric selections are expressed at this time. 4. Fabric Fitting. When the muslin returns to the studio, the changes are transferred to the client’s pattern, then cut in the selected fabrics. The garment is basted together for the fabric fitting. The unfinished garment is sent to the client. The client again pins and makes any notes necessary to communicate the adjustments or changes needed in the garment. The client sends the garment back to the studio for finishing. 5. Final Garment. The changes from the fitting are again transferred to the pattern and the garment is completed. The finished garment is sent to the client. Finshed garments made to order are non-refundable. 6.Rush Custom or Special Orders. A premium charge will be set for any order that is outside the usual delivery time of 4-8 weeks, which will be set at the time of the order. SizingAll sizes produced by Hillesø & Company Designs fit to standard department store sizing. For example, if you normally wear a Size 8 dress, or a Size 42 jacket, order the same size. It is that simple. The chart below offers a range of measurements for each size. Many garments are semi-fitted or loose fitting, and offer plenty of ease for different shapes. ReturnsWith the exception of close-outs and some clearance items and custom designs, you may return or exchange your purchase if, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with the quality, fit or performance of the garment. We will promptly credit your account, send you a refund or exchange your purchase. Returns must be in the original packaging, in new, unused condition. Refunds or credits will be made on returns within 30 days of purchase. Credit is given for returns after 30 days. Made to order and monogrammed garments are non-refundable. DeliveryWe usually will process all orders in stock within one business day of receipt. Regular Shipping: We ship most orders by Priority Mail or Fed Ex Ground, which takes approximately 3 days for delivery. Express Delivery: If you require faster or different types of delivery, please call for current rates. Unfortunately, PayPal is unable to handle FedEx delivery at this time. Please call for expedited service. International Delivery: If you are ordering from outside the USA, delivery is via FedEx International Economy. Duty and taxes are billed to recipient.
