The "DeVille" Silk Lounging Robe

Over the top and Fit for royalty....

Heralding back to those romantic days, The AlternaTux Collection^TM presents it's version of this wonderous menswear garment.

This full length robe is made from silk faced brocade, fully lined and faced with silk charmeuse. Details include 3 welt pockets, a frog closure or a tie belt, corded edges, and an inside chest pocket. A full vent in the back allows for ease of movement.

Luxurious silks, the fineness of construction and details make this lounging robe truly fit for royalty.

Currently, two fabrics are available (except by special order). The brocade on the left is vertical paisley swirl of black, cobalt and bronze, trimmed and lined in black.

Below, the brocade is woven with a Chinese medallion symbolizing good fortune and long life. It is black and gold, trimmed and lined in gold.

As incredible as this fabric below is, it is no longer available, from any supplier that I know. I will continue to try to locate it for future robes. However, other fabrics are available by request.

In the opulent days of the late 19th century, lounging robes or dressing gowns were a popular item for keeping warm before the days of central heating. The robes ranged in serviceable wool to sumptuous silk.

You might think of old movies - Vincent Price wore this type of garment with great aplomb. Groucho Marx wore one with elegance - in his style. Cary Grant wore them with grace and romance.

The DeVille robe is available to measure or to sizes Medium to Extra Large. It can also be customized with your personal preference in fabric. The world is your oyster, so live it in luxury and style.
