The Evening Raincoat

Have you ever been dressed for an event and caught in the rain? The idea for the Evening Raincoat came when attending a ballet performance at Lincoln Center. It was raining and beautifully dressed women were coming into the theatre with their khaki trench coats thrown over their evening wear. There had to be something better.

Hillesø & Company came up with a graceful sweep of a microfiber coat that just happens to be trimmed in cotton velvet and silk brocade. It is lined in red silk jacquard and comes with a detachable hood that is lined in black charmeuse. It is further embellished with triangle pocket flaps (functional pockets), silk covered buttons and small tassels. The inside closure is a tasselled tie to loosely hold it in place.

The style of this coat is loose and comfortable, made to fit over the most elaborate gown or the simplest dress. It has a shawl collar that can fold up cozily around your neck and a pieced swing back that flows as you walk. The fabrics are water resistent and will protect the wearer from the elements in wonderful style.
