The Asymmetric Collar Jacket - Sale

I discovered some amazingly modern and beautiful silk shawls presented by the Vietnam Veterans of America Foundation. The Foundation works with countries recovering from conflict, in particular, with land mine victims. They work with various communities creating workshops for rehabilitation. One of the economic rehabilitation programs was a silk farm in the remote northern Cambodian province of Preah Vihear. The Joom Noon (Khmer for "gift") scarves and shawls are literally grown from the silk worms to finished product. The products are beautiful. Many of the shawls are in woven stripes. Featured here is a semi-tailored, fitted jacket that incorporates the stripes of the shawl into one side of the garment, leaving the other in the solid irridescent purple silk. The collar line also emphasizes the asymmetry of the look.

Because of the limitations on size of the shawls, this jacket is only available in x-small and small.
